The Reusies® 2023 Nominees
What to expect
Thank you for your interest in becoming a finalist for The Reusies!
Here is what to expect after your submission…
Finalist Selection
Applications will be reviewed by selection committees comprised of The Reusies partners and external experts. Finalists may be asked to provide additional information for committees to review. You will be notified – under embargo – if you are a finalist in advance of the press announcement (tentatively scheduled for mid-April).
If you are selected as a finalist, you will need to do the following in the lead-up to The Reusies, scheduled for June 7th. This will help us build a compelling program and promote our finalists' participation.
Attend an onboarding Zoom call with The Reusies production team, where you will get personalized guidance and coaching on your participation. As part of this call, we may capture video content for the program so our audience can learn more about you.
Within 4 weeks after the announcement, provide photos, graphics and videos for marketing materials and the live broadcast. Because The Reusies is broadcast as a professionally produced video, these assets are critical in enabling us to showcase your accomplishments and tell your story as a finalist. If you don’t have an archive of video or images, please don’t let this be a barrier to applying. Upstream is here to provide assistance and support. That said, in the coming weeks, you may want to keep this requirement in mind as you are going about your work – if there is the opportunity to take photos or video (horizontal format), please do so.
Keep in regular communication with The Reusies production team.
Promote your participation to your networks. You will also receive a promotional toolkit to share with your networks and encourage voting in the months leading up to the event.
Winner selection
Winners will be chosen by a group of third-party judges (different from the selection committees) and public vote.
About public voting: We encourage you to share your finalist status and the call for public votes with your audiences because it helps to spread the good word about The Reusies far and wide – and you deserve to be celebrated! However, please be assured The Reusies is not a popularity contest, and a bigger social media following does not correlate to a better chance of winning. We use the public votes primarily to encourage awareness and engagement, and secondarily as a tie-breaker among the judges.
Award winners will be announced at the June 7th broadcast. Finalists will not need to appear live, but we hope you’ll be watching!
